"Are you okay, miss?", the man whom she bumped into ensured.
"I am fine, but what about you. I spilled your drink on your coat. I'm sorry!", Carla worriedly replied. Trying to not bring up his extremely good looks into the conversation.
"It's okay miss. I'm fi-". Someone interrupted him.
"Hey Cole what's taking you so long?", the man came up to him, to see Carla right beside him. "Carla!", he finally spotted her. "What are you doing here?"
Attempting to play dumb, as if she didn't already know that he was following her all along she replied, "Hey Kyle!, we meet again. I see you know this man."
"Oh ya! He is Cole Peterson, my assistant for the case I told you about earlier." he introduced him to her." And Cole, she is Carla. We are...-"
"He is an old friend whom I bumped into yesterday, and "coincidently" today as well", she said, intentionally putting an emphasis on 'coincidently'.
Confused, Kyle continued, "Well it's nice to meet you! Do you wanna go for a few drinks?"
"Oh ya that would be nice", she replied, tucking her hands under Kyle's arm and slowly leaning in near his ears to whisper, "Why did you never tell me you had such a hot friend?"
Slightly jealous he whispered back, "Aren't I enough for you?". She knew it would make him jealous and continued walking with him without replying.
